A poster for the Russian release of the German film ""The Cabinet of Wax Figures,"" in which a young poet visits a wax museum, then imagines and writes the adventures of the three figures that struck him most: Ivan the Terrible, the Arab poet haroun al-Rashid and Jack the Ripper. But while writing the third story, he falls asleep and has a nightmare. The Stenberg Brothers were among the most prolific and influential Russian posterists of the 1920s, the heyday of Soviet graphic art and design. They were also industrial designers and the chief stage designers for the Kameny Theater in Moscow.
