Stop-Fire made fire extinguishers, adaptable especially for automobiles. To show its power and effectiveness, Loupot transforms it into a simpler more familiar object - a candle snuffer. In concept and execution, with its bold colors and immediacy of action, its an image - unsigned - that grabs ones attention and imagination. Loupot studied art at Lyon, but produced his first posters in Switzerland where he stayed for seven years, between 1916 and 1923. He then returned to Paris at the invitation of the printer Devambez, and became one of the top designers of his time. Before the agency Les Belles Affiches, founded by two brothers named Damour. He was also Cassandres partner in the Alliance Graphique.
