Trying to write an article for La Vache Enragee (The Angry Cow), which he envisions graphically as a ghostly bovine charging up Montmartre, a writer burning the midnight oil finally gets his inspiration--a heavenly vision of an exuberant Muse brought to him on the wings of imagination. The satirical periodical, founded by Willette, lasted only about a year.
