Some of the most spectacular posters were those created by Matania for the LMS Railway. Here we have a poolside scene with young people cavorting in water and out of it. As always, Matania renders people in an interesting and compelling manner. Born in Naples in 1881, Matania moved to London around the start of World War I. He illustrated books and magazines in addition to his poster work for the railways. Giclee Prints are printed on heavy matte finish 180gsm German art paper using the finest Canon archival inks.
