This dramatic yarn involved the Red Light Cabaret and international jewel thieves in the tenderloin district of a big city. The scenarist centered the story around the fate of one of the pawns in a jewel heist, a girl working in the red-light district. Thus the title, In the House of Red Light. But the production-company censors were unwilling to approve a film that seemed to call attention to a house of prostitution, and they refused to release the film until the name was changed to the more neutral Die Rothausgasse (Red House Alley). This two-sheet poster, then, is for a film (or a title) that never was. It was evidently prepared in anticipation of a release the censors nixed and thus was never displayed. Rare! Giclee Prints are printed on heavy matte finish 180gsm German art paper using the finest Canon archival inks. Entry Level Art Prints are printed on 250Gsm satin paper.
