A super bit of advertising reverse psychology for Sparton Radio. Rather than showing an artistically created version of their product, Sparton, via the talents of an unknown hand, takes you all the way to the other side of the transmission and into the company of this dashing violinist, thereby reinforcing the idea that the quality of their sound reproduction is just as fine as if you were in the studio yourself. Simple brilliance. The Sparton Corporation was founded with 15 employees and $15,000 in capital in 1900 in Jackson, Michigan, by Philip and Winthrop Withington. Shortly thereafter, the Withingtons took on a third partner by the name of William Sparks and became known as the Sparks-Withington Company, which in 1911 adopted Sparton as its trade name. In 1926, Sparton introduced the first all electric radio, known as Radio's Richest Voice, the item being promoted here. The company exists to this day, involved in diverse electronics manufacturing. Giclee Prints are printed on heavy matte finish 180gsm German art paper using the finest Canon archival inks. Entry Level Art Prints are printed on 250Gsm satin paper.
